After having a great party night last week a group of us planned all of a sudden trip to nagarjuna sagar and hit the road yesterday morning.
It should usually take about 3 hrs to travel to Nagarjunasagar but we got delayed (Planned to start by 7.20AM earlier.. blame it on our (BASI) we left around 8AM from panjagutta). We filled out fuel tanks to the brim n raced out of the city. We had a break at LB nagar cross roads for breakfast. After a 30 min break we zoomed ahead for another 1hr and stopped near a small hut where we people had some thing which we never had.. i forgot what they call it better u people have a look
After a 10 min break listening to the beats of JALSA we kept ahead ... reached the left wing of the nagarjuna sagar by 11.45Am..Luckily for us, though the weather was bright and sunny, it wasn’t as hot as usual.

After the last stretch essentially being a road that curves around the lake formed by the dam as shown above we came across a massive bridge around 300-400ft height.. we stopped our car to take a few snaps.. our guys are crazy at the fabulous structure of the bridge we are on and the view of the dam from atmost 2 km is really worth watching.

We were busy taking snaps and enjoying the beauty of the dam... some one informed us that a boat is about to start at 1PM which would take us to a near by island which is an erstwhile prominent Buddhist center.so we went uphill to the other side of the dam.Its really amazing to imagine how they would have built it back then. Cars are a strict no-no here. After seeing the dam, we had lunch at a restaurant called Samagamam in a place called Vijay Vihar nearby. The food was South Indian and it tasted good. The side dishes were manageable.
